Oh and 16 assists on 21 FG's tells me they are playing good basketball and not street ball like last year

What am I missing? I'm at work so not watching the game but Baylor is shooting 56% from 3 land so their outside game must be ok.

And yes their best player Jones is not playing

And aren't they beating a pretty decent San Diego State team by double digits? How is Drew getting outcoached? From the boxscore it looks good for Baylor
They got outplayed in the first half but it was a different story in the second half. This was an inexperienced San Diego State team that lost quite a bit form last year.

This is an inexperienced Baylor team that is playing without their best player. Take the best player off any team I think they will look a little worse.

I think Baylor wins the conference. When Jones is back that team is deep and LLOOOONGGGG

San Diego State is not a very good team, they lost all of their best players from last year. the first half San Diego State was doing just as good as Baylor on the boards despite Baylor having an abundance of tall athletic players. Baylor should be destroying people with the talent they have instead of winning by ten points against a rebuilding San Diego State team.

Jones might have the most potential but I think that their best player this year will be Quincy Miller.

I highly doubt that will happen. They had a very talented team last year too and they finished 7th with a 7-9 record in conference. There is very little team discipline and organization. I'm sure we will beat this team again at home by double digits because their coach isn't smart enough to abandon the zone when we are shooting lights out from 3.

They have guards this year. Pierre Jackson had 9 assists and they had 18 assists on 24 FG's. That's pretty solid.

Add that Jones is a year older with solid freshmen coming in and I think they are the team to beat

SDS will be solid again this year. They lost a lot but Fisher's a hell of a coach who knows talent and they got some nice talent in that program still with Thames playing after sitting out from transferring.

I agree that Miller could end up being their best player. Especially if Drew doesn't figure out how to use him better this year (Jones that is)
