Anyone know much about hotspotting a smartphone to a Macbook Pro, and if it actually mirrors screens that way?

I should be able to watch on my phone as long as Cy Tv works, but not sure if I'll have wireless access to see it on my Macbook but it sounds like hotspotting is an option?*

*Not technologically advanced, need instructions like a play-doh set.

Are you wanting to watch the game on your phone and then screen mirror that to a mac or tv?

Hot spotting is just using your phone as a "router" for wifi.

Ah, the way I thought was was mirroring.

Do I need to know my phone details (account number, etc.) in order to hotspot with my macbook?

No. All you have to do is go into your phone settings and turn your hotspot on, name the network, create a password. Open the wifi on your mac, find your phone's wifi hotspot signal name, enter password and connect.

Nice... thanks! I'll have to copy/past your explanation. :)

Had a family emergency come up and will not be able to make it to the game. Tickets are section 29 row 30 seats 18 & 19 on the aisle.

Would like to get $125 for the tickets and pass. Would need to be able to meet in or near Ames by early Friday morning, or in Jefferson during the day Thursday.

Just be careful depending on your cell phone plan - you can use up your data pretty quickly hot spotting. Make sure you turn if of when you don't need it.

So who else is taking Friday off to prepare?
Me! Leaving Chicago after work tonight.
Even saved all the podcasts this week for listening material on the way home.
Every year I drive back for the home opener and always see a few fellow Chicago Cyclones on the road. I have a Cyclones license plate frame and a sticker in my window, so whenever I see another car with Cyclone things, we always give each other a honk and wave.

55 1/2 hours and counting! Great Scott, does anyone have a Delorean with a flux capacitor that produces 1.21 gigawatts of electricity? I need to just time jump. I am going to go crazy with anticipation

Careful, you might put in the wrong calculations can find yourself back in the 80s. I don't know that you would find as yourself excited about cyclone football. Although, I hear college parties were a lot of fun then. So maybe it would even itself out?

I have to miss the home opener for the third year in a row due to a wedding on my wife's side of the family. We skipped a wedding on my side of the family earlier this summer, but we can't skip this one for some reason. The worst part is my wife doesn't really like the cousin that's getting married. I'll get chastised for watching Cyclones.TV on my phone during the reception, but at this point I don't care. Somebody help me.

Compromising photos of the groom and bridesmaid would be helpful.

Sleep with the bride. Sabotage the wedding. Problem solved.

I’m assuming the game is during the reception, since it’s a night game. Nobody will notice you watching the game on your phone by the outside bar. There will probably be at least 8 other husbands doing the same thing.

Welp, the paint has dried and the corn has grown and it is still not gametime. Maybe I’ll just start walking to the stadium from Colorado. That should pass the time. I’ll stop and upper deck the toilets at Memorial Stadium on the way.

Will there be other ISU fans there? Team together to drink to wedding reception cliches, then watch it.
