From what I've heard, SDW was the funniest guy in the locker room, even though he came off as shy. He's a good player, and I know he will have success wherever he decides to go. Best of luck to him!

Not to step over the body to look at the will but this has to be a two-part deal now. Marquette or the Duke kid. The Duke kid being from Kansas doesn't hurt proximity wise.

Way up there
I guess this is a good problem to have. Unlike a few years back under Greg when we had players we NEEDED to play leaving the program.

Idk all the specifics but Fred has had plenty of guys leave, seems like all leave on somewhat good terms.

Best of luck, SDW. Thanks for all of your hard work, staying out of trouble, and representing ISU with class.

Maybe its already been mentioned but having burned the red-shirt already this year I'm surprised he didn't try to graduate and take advantage of the immediately eligible rule. Maybe he looked into it and with playing D1 basketball it was tough to take that many credits.

I believe this in reference to the hawk board post saying that the only thing they do better is graduate black student athletes

They don't even take black athletes. And they're talking about graduating them.

@GoodmanESPN:

Iowa State redshirt sophomore Sherron Dorsey-Walker is transferring, sources told ESPN.

This is unfortunate but I wish him the best. He was an offensive threat but mainly a liability on defense. I hope he lands on his feet running. Unfortunately his redshirt is gone and he will only have ~1.5 years left.
He was a scholarship player though, correct? This at least opens up a scholly for another 4 or 5 star! :)

I could tell by his body language he was not happy during pregame and on the bench of the Southern game. I knew that if he doesn't play soon he won't stick around.. what do you know he gone. I really wish Hoiberg could have found him some minutes because he can sure play. Wish him the best of luck. He is going to be a hell of a player where he ends up.

Too bad Fran and Iowa has Sioux City locked up. I'm sure there is some top notch talent there that we missed on.

Really sad to see Dorsey-Walker going, but it is a good move for him. Hope he is a star somewhere else. His experience is a good reason for a freshman to be hesitant about red-shirting, given how common transferring is this day and age.
