Completely disagree that Secondary is a concern. You've got a returning multi-year safety, a very good, potentially one day elite corner, and other players who gained valuable experience, who while lacking experience, might in terms of just raw athleticism and speed, are potentially better. Which of course is not a knock on anyone, that's literally the idea of 100% of college programs when recruiting, be it the portal or HS, JC, etc... find someone as good or potentially better.
Don't get me wrong, the Linebackers are "fine" players. They're not horrible. They're not bad. I just question whether or not they have the ability to cover up weaknesses in other areas. They are obviously guys you can win with. My points in my arguments are I'm less convinced they are guys you can win "because of". Big Citrus, we win because of. Verdon, Beau, especially when healthy, we won because of. Breece, Charlie, etc....
Hopefully I'll be proven wrong. We can win with them, that was proven in an incredible season. But next year, the D-line (as of today) will be weaker, and the secondary will be talented but less experienced.
When I talk growth, that's the growth I mean and that's what I'm not sure about. IDK if they can make the plays where we win because of them rather than with them. This year, arguably we won because our secondary was elite when it comes to the defense. Next year... man. Losing TO Just sucks. Until we can say how other people develop or if someone else is brought in, that might be worth 1-2 wins. His stats wouldn't suggest that, but the game experience, his size / strength to pair with Big Citrus - there aren't a ton of positions I'd have worried about a player leaving more giving who we were already losing to graduation. We were already thin there (on paper) in terms of known commodities and now are razor thin
