Seniors Appreciation Post

Obviously tough end to the season, but wanted to give shout-outs to all the seniors for a great year.

Dom Nelson: Appreciate you staying ready despite not playing a lot during the season. Played some good minutes in the tourney for us. Thanks for being a Cyclone!

Eric Mulder: You made that 3, that was fun! Thanks for being a Cyclone!

Nate Heise: Dawg. Dirty work guy. Does whatever needs to be done. Stepped up in the tournament the last 2 years for us. Probably the most under appreciated player I can remember. Thanks for be a Cyclone!

JJeff: Such a well rounded player, if you would have told me he'd be an all American when he came here I wouldn't have believed it. Sucks how he went down, I know he did everything he could to get ready, and appreciate everything he gave us. Thanks for being a Cyclone!

Tamin Lipsey: Captain. Role Model. Iowa State basketball. We don't have the sustained success the last 4 years without him. Not sure anyone has given more of their body to a team like Tamin has. Hang the jersey. Thanks for being Mr. Cyclone!

Thank you Seniors! It was a pleasure to watch you all compete! Once a Cyclone, always a Cyclone. Ames will always welcome you with open arms!

Dittoto the above: Just arrived back to my sons from Chitown. Very disappointed but at least I got to watch my Clones with the greatest son a father could ask for. 5:05 am I am out see you all in the fall.

Anyone know the likelihood of Lipsey playing professionally overseas? I would selfishly like to see him as a GA

To give something for Mulder, he came in during foul trouble with Iowa and held the fort to get to the second half.

Tamin - my all-time favorite Cyclone period. What else can you say about the kid.
Jefferson - All American, great steadying force and leader.
Heise - probably had more posts from me than any other player wishing he just turned it loose offensively and let the chips fall where they may. And these last two years he was an absolute dog when it mattered most.
Mulder and Nelson were called on in big moments and they came through and contributed to big wins and a great season.

He will make a summer league and bounce around g league or can go make a bunch of money overseas if he wants but I do think he will have a small shot at nba
