I too sometimes finding myself caring a lot about what Jayhawk fans think. Hopefully with 10 years of Fred I'll stop caring about what Jayhawk fans think.

Good luck with whatever complex you're dealing with. I would personally just prefer not to show a team that we expect to beat at home any additional unearned respect.

The thing is, we haven't really been there before very often. Kansas leads the overall series 176-61 and we've only beaten them 11 times since the big 12 started.
Depending on where there is, we have been there before. We beat KU at home in 2012, which was the first year the program started elevating. This team will probably be ranked in consecutive weeks for close to 3 complete seasons. The program is in a much different spot than 2012.

I'm kind of mixed on court rushing. I certainly don't give a crap about how it looks. My only concern is that little kids and others could get hurt in the wild stampede like conditions.

Even people who choose not to rush and stay in their seats are at risk of getting knocked down by people chaotically darting and tumbling down from rows above them.

My biggest take away from the article was the first part. Players are going to get paid starting in August. Had no idea that happened Saturday.

Or in terms of Kentucky players, they will have to take a pay cut.

Nothing ****** off the jayhawk fans more than not rushing the court.
KU not getting back in transition "bleeped" me off way more. I was happy that ISU fans paid their own team so much respect by not rushing the court. It's good for the Big 12 to have more than one team that expects to win big games.

We expect to win big games but we also know that the refs take games away sometimes.

Good luck to Kansas on trying for their 2nd straight Big 12 title!

I don't care about rushing the court. It's fun and exciting. The day that I stop thinking that beating a top 10 team is not a big deal is the day that sports aren't that much fun for me anymore.

Eff that. There are still a good number of fans (self included) who suffered through the leanest years the program had since Johnny Orr arrived in 1980, and would have given anything to have done something worthy of rushing the court during that time. Let the kids enjoy it...who knows when/if they'll ever have the chance again.
If we rushed the court in the 1987 Iowa game someone would have punched Gary Close or Jeff Moe.

I would have had no problem with the court being rushed with a win, but when you lead the majority of the game (by significant margins at times) and the last 2 minutes drags on forever, that takes a lot of the energy out of the storming idea

I agree with this. I think if we cruise to a 20 point victory there may have been a court rush. As it was, everyone was just relieved we didn't choke it away.

It was on my things-to-do list. I might have to look them both up and do that anyway. It'll give me something to do this weekend.

Agree with Seth. It's time to act like we have been there before.

Like when UNC fans rushed the court last year after beating Duke? Or when Coach K had to rush the court to stop Duke fans from rushing after #2 duke beat unranked UNC 2 years ago by 5 at home? When you beat a rival rushing the court may happen if it has build up. Worthy or not. Part of the "Hilton" magic is that build up. Once we expect it the magic will dampen. Let people act naturally I hate the "is it worthy" crap. That said I am glad we didn't because it just **** ed off Jayhawk fans more.http://www.businessinsider.com/video-mike-krzyzewski-stops-duke-students-from-rushing-court-2013-2

Not only did the fans not rush the court, but the number of people that stuck around well after the buzzer was impressive. It was really cool to see that in the background when they were interviewing Hoiberg.

When you live among them, it is hard to not care. For me KU is like what it is for Iowa for many of you. I am definitely going to wear my ISU polo to work this week.

After watching the game again, I noticed that we really controlled the game more than my nerves would have indicated.

I was ******** and moaning through much of the game but when I watched it at home I was like...never mind.
