They are doing that first...and a recruit is not going to know that it looks like Southern Miss or WVU, they will either say it looks cool or it doesn't.

Southern Miss looks a lot better, and I hope we do that.

As for your general stance that we are entitled because we are debating the merits of stadium designs on a message board, are you delusional? Message board exist because of mutual interest, sometimes of great detail. Without these discussions, less page views, less advertising revenue, and Cyclone Fanatic does not exist.

If Iowa State does a "Southern Miss-style" expansion, it'll be on the north side in the form of an addition, expansion or replacement of the Jacobson building. The South Endzone will be a large number of general seats to increase capacity, not a wall of suites with no general seating, as seen at Southern Miss and the WVU north endzone.

I imagine it would be SIGNIFICANTLY higher than that - materials alone. 100K wouldn't cover the labor.

I got $250 bucks scrap for the aluminum siding on my house. Probably enough metal to make a couple bleachers.

They could stand to be painted though - I agree with that.

I think they have gotten worse in the offseason as I noticed this too at the spring game. Going to have this nice SEZ and then have this eyesore of old bleachers in pink and light yellow.

Are the bleachers painted? Obviously have color (what little hasn't faded away), but could it be another process that colored the aluminum? I can't imagine that just painting would be that easy... I've had lots of issues getting just a little paint to stick to metal on the motorcycle (chrome buttons that sanded and painted black), and my bike is outside far less than the bleachers at JTS.

I used to powder coat and that stuff never fades.

They could use a special aluminum paint. Problem solved.

I had a job one summer of re-painting those seats with some kind of epoxy paint -- they looked amazing afterward but that was years ago -- my guess is that is what will get done
