Just seen a sketch ..... probably not final but some kind of a storm cellar, big metal doors ... weather station with siren on top. Jp and GG loved the response of the crowd (both us and the RU folks) in NYC to the siren (I wonder where he got those ;-) ...... the new entrance is going to top last year's which I thought was one of the best in college football -- and very unique to ISU. Good stuff.

Oh God no. Why don't we put a pirate ship in the endzone too. I thought we were trying to look big time? What would we think if they pulled up a livestock trailor that the Longhorns came out of?? Or, what if Baylor made a cave in their endzone that they came out of. The siren is great but that is because it is isolated. The more gimmicky we get, the sillier it will all be, even the siren that we all love.

If they have the team come rushing out of cellar storm doors as the siren is going off I may rip off the faces of everyone around me in excitement

That cracked me up big time...lmao!

I'll have to see it to believe it but it would be awesome!!

So...having the tunnel end at a pair of storm doors == the pirate ship at Raymond James stadium? I bet it would look less "gimmicky" than the ***** helmet they used a few years ago and even the inflatable tunnel they use now.

Have you ever seen the rock slide at Clemson? It's unique to them and completely BA

Yeah, but how about a wind tunnel

or have some type of wind creating device to blow some flags and cheerleaders skirts (maybe not) as the team comes out to the siren. It would replace the fog or maybe wind with fog.

Think of the possibilities.

I've always thought ISU should walk down the middle of one of the hills to the field. I would make the tunnel not go to the Jacobsen building, but above the utilities if possible and then put a fence on each side kind of like Clemson. They would walk down the hill as the crowd surrounds them. Love Clemson's entrance.

2 Things.

1: If being less gimmicky than our inflatable helmet is the goal, then the bar is REALLY low.

2: Clemson does not = storm door. The equivalent would be them building zoo bars that the tigers come through...and that would be very lame.

I'm all for the storm doors and do not think it would be hokey. The unique factor plus it's our related to our mascot, coupled with what we saw this year, would be BA. Haters gone hate

So - in the 20 pages is there anything worth reading or is this just another South End Zone Thread?

2-3 posts about south end zone.

18 pages about beer sales.

2-3 posts of lovers quarrel between rebecacy & Senolcyc

Solid recap, that pretty much covers it. Wish I had started from the end and read this first rather than wasting time plowing through it.

This may be the best post I have ever seen on this board. For some reason I am dying laughing at that. Great post.

And I agree. Siren, Cyclone Warning...BEEP....BEEP...BEEP thing. And if they come out of a storm cellar....I will also rip peoples faces off.

what time you picking me up? Wife told me to take my time, not sure what that means.
Still trying to figure out best time to go -- likely early june. Please please ... you and J join us. Free after the flight.

E has added 'plane ride to the beach' to his bedtime prayers -- damn cute if I do say so myself. We flew the helicoptor today, he loves being the co-pilot. Amazing 2 year old.

So, now the thread has moved from the OP's traditional big-time "I was on a massive secret awesome conference call so you should love it and buy tickets" to planning his vacations for us. The Internet is truly wonderful.
I sincerely apologize Erik.

I'm just after the coupons at this point -- I know you understand that!!!!

I read thru all this crap and still wish for the girls in yoga pants, or not in yoga pants, in the hot tubs, with the hooter shooters.
