I noticed they reconfigured at least one concession stand to allow people to go through a line and pick there items and pay at the end. That should help. Why did it take 50 years to try?

That style of concession stand has really only become common in the last 5-10 years borrowing from the airport concessions industry. But to do it well it takes some infrastructure changes and to add maximum efficiency it helps to have some additional technology.

And yes, this is in my wheelhouse.

I gotcha - the outdoor sections. Yes, the west side looks the same. Why does it look this way? Because they have the closest parking spots to exit to at halftime..

That's part of it. Could another part of why it looks to markedly different be because those seats are different? That is exactly the area that has bleachers with seat backs if I am not mistaken. The seat backs make any empty seat that much more obvious to see than the seats without seat backs.

Good point. That combined with close parking = not a good formula for butts in seats at the start of 3rd Q.
