ISU was 13th before the Maryland loss and dropped to 20th.
Added advantage of playing national game on Thursday, I assume many of the voters got a chance to see how impressive the Cyclones looked during Ark game and factor that into their ranks.
Considering SDSU was the only team in the teens that won this weekend I would assume that we vault right back to 13.
Note #13 SDSU does play @ undefeated Washington team tonight so there is a possibility another team in front of ISU could pick up a loss.

He's not taking anything out on anybody. At this point in the season the daily top 25 ranking is going to be hyper-reactionary. ISU will be appropriately ranked in due time.

Disagree. Beating another top 25 team by 18 should have moved us way back up then. He has been inconsistent this year.

Or maybe the data that put Arky at 18 was the inconsistency. They were freshly minted a top 25 team weren't they? It makes sense to discount that win a little. Arky is a decent team, but they jumped pretty heavily based on some outliers the past couple of weeks too. Add in that as you play each game the results have that much more of the season to pull up or down. Not a bad read on the Arky win. It could mean something, or we could have been the ones that proved that the previous weeks Arky jump was shaping up to make them pretenders. Each week should get just a little less reactionary.

Sometimes This site gets a little crazy and likes to jump on some of these rankings a little too much. None of them are the end all be all and I don't think that most of them are out to get us. lol

I love how mad some of our fans get at national media after criticizing Iowa State. Get a grip. Parrish backed us all of last season. His Top 25 is based on games that have been played, not his personal eye test. Most of the big-time college basketball bloggers/writers are in love with our program, coach, home court, fan support, players, you name it. Even ultra critical Gottlieb routinely calls Hoiberg an elite X's and O's coach (although I do sense some jealousy in his tone as Fred is basically living Doug's dream).
