Should we have even been a tournament team?

Should Iowa even be a state? Need to merge with Nebraska.
Why stop at Nebraska? Throw in the Dakotas, Kansas, Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. At that point, take Ohio too just to end the great potato/corn/buckeye state confusions for an embarrassingly large portion of the country. Hey, lots of states have disconnected parts! Ohio wouldn’t be any different than Michigan’s UP.

Edit: **** it, take the Chicago concept of southern Illinois (south if I-80) and Indiana to get it over with and bridge the gap.

I think @ISUCyclones2015 has figured out a way to monetize replies to his posts. Or he just gets off on his threads that surpass 100 replies. It is both annoying and amusing. And I never bet against his survival skills. I think he helped us win all those online polls years ago. Unlike many of the rest of us, he is a Cyclone fan that doesn't take it too seriously. And seems to get a kick out of using us for his social experiments.

Maybe not but I enjoy encapsulating the meltdown in one post even at a detriment to my online persona
I don’t agree with your OP, but I think you have every right in the world to think (and post) what you want. You do you- just don’t be surprised at all the hate you get when folks don’t agree with you.

Even tho our team played a lousy game last night, it doesn’t take away the great moments of this year. I said it a few weeks ago: we’re streaky and we’re either going to the Final 4 or we’re losing in the first round.

We spiraled out of control near the end and got lucky against some teams after Grill left.

One win in the NIT is probably better than getting embarrassed in the tournament by a freaking play-in team.

Maybe if Hinson stayed and didn’t have a grudge against us it could’ve been better.

TJ can do better

1.) Killed Baylor twice after Grill left. That wasn’t luck, unless you believe any win by any team is luck.
2.) If we are as bad as you think ISU is, what makes you think they win in the NiT. Making it to the NCAA tournament is infinitely better, always.
3.) Yes Blake Hinson, who went 1-8 with 5 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 fouls was the difference.
4.) TJ overachieved IMMENSELY by any metric over these last 2 years. That’s not even debatable. Can he do better? With better players he has coming in, I think that will happen.
5.) Most importantly, and you have made it very clear, you are a moron. This post is bad, at no point in your stupid post were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this message board is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I was hoping the Hinson comment would get better metrics but the TJ can do better is beating the odds.

Wait for the next post! :jimlad:

Say what you will about how it ended, but you cannot (short of an embarrassing lack of maturity and basketball knowledge) take away what these guys accomplished.

6 wins against the top 10
9 wins against the top 25
5th place in easily the toughest conference
6 seed in the NCAA tournament

All through injuries and adversity, with a collection of hard working guys that didn’t really have your typical definition of a star player.

They earned every damn thing they got.

Why do people insist on being completely irrational and stupid when things don’t go their way? If anyone seriously thinks this **** is true maybe keep the dumbass thought to yourself next time.

It's too cold and windy for me to walk the trout streams today.

Fix it!

And there's a few CFers saying things like this is the worst thing they've ever seen (paraphrasing).

Life has to be pretty awesome if the above is a problem.

Defense travels......except to Columbia, Iowa City, Austin, and Greensboro I guess. When your scheme is only built around half of how the game is suppose to be played you'll get embarrassing results sometimes.

What are your expectations for ISU basketball on the whole? And what is it based on?

The defense held every one of those teams under their season average. What did you expect offensively from this team once they didn’t land AJ? I did not even remotely expect a tournament berth at the start of the season.

Dumb thread. Should’ve Texas Southern been a tournament team? I mean, you could go down the line. I’m not going down that philosophical “possible worlds” scenario. We made the tournament our season is complete, and we’ll reboot next year.
