I heard this also. thought John's reaction was great. he even referenced being in the "business" for so long and couldn't believe someone would ask that right after a great game by the team, esp Lanning. Love listening to John's spot on this show every Monday at 4:30pm.
I usually listen on my way home from work depending on what they are talking about. Mondays at 4:30pm is a must due to Walters being on every week at this time. Williams used to be on every Wed around 5pm so that was good. Blum is a regular, I think on Thursday. I don't catch Blum all the time. I agree they are hawk homers, but atleast they get ISU people on regularly. The text line is entertaining at times.
Yeah, the media seems to speculate on any kid who they perceive may not be getting the playing time that the media guesses they want, or even on kids that will be eligible for a grad transfer (see Naz- nothing in his character, nor anything he said, suggested a transfer).

That whole Perrault vs. Walters deal is such a blur...
I was like 25, totally wet between the ears and filling in with Hassel. Hassel had to bounce to go cover the hiring and out of nowhere, Perrault appeared (he was gone for the day). I had already scheduled to bring John on before Perrault got back.

I hear ya, I listen to it because they do have some good information, but for being the home of the cyclones, they sure dont talk much about the clones, I avoid it as much as possible on mondays, because it is all hawks!
My big issue with the Mike transfer and Lanning transfers\ question were the timing of it. More so with Mike because while both could transfer why ask them during the season? Why would Warren say yeah I'm planning to transfer while there is football games to play? If he said yes, well he will be on the bench the rest of the year. While I think Randy asks some of the dumbest questions like asking CMC if he was drinking beer before the toledo football game. He is entitled to ask them. Just for the love of God Randy, figure out when to ask the questions at the right time.
