Does anyone know if they have these at the entrance of Gerdin? The snow never accumulates on the stone that makes up the side walk toward the entrance. Is that a heated sidewalk, or is that just the heat transferring from the stone inside?

The entrances of Gerdin do have heated sidewalks.

I always thought the main reason for heated sidewalks was to eliminate the ice buildup, not necessarily for the snow. Obviously it is going to help with snow as well.

I'm thinking about only voting for people who promise to heat my sidewalks.
:biglaugh::biglaugh::biglaugh: Me too! And I want a skywalk system, also. On second thought, we already have that and they are great. Maybe someone could run for office on a "heated garage" platform-I'd vote for them in a heartbeat!

I want sidewalks that are heated and padded. That's what wins my vote.
I want heated sidewalks so bad that I decided since they aren't available here that I'm going to go and stay all winter in Texas. How's that for energy efficiency? Besides I'll get a great kick out of driving my SUV all over Texas with the big ISU logo on the back window!
