What was up with the recruit lists of the blue bloods this afternoon? When they would show the lists, more than half were listed as "verbals," not "signed." It seems that we get almost all our recruits to sign first thing in the morning. What's going on with these other schools? Do half of their recruits really wait until mid-to-late afternoon to sign?
Many guys were probably waiting for the biggest NIL offer to come in. Sounds like Blake Purchase might be staying home to play for Deion at Colorado.

Checking signing day rankings on 247, it looks like the Cyclones are 8th when portal guys are excluded. However, it looks like KSU, WVU and ISU are pretty even when looking at average recruit score vs. total score which can be influenced by # of recruits signed.

Okie State & KU are behind the Cyclones on an average recruit score. Not sure what KU's story, doesn't seem like they leveraged their early season success.
KU is KU not much to leverage.

And yet KSU is the B12 champion. It’s the KSU way - recruit unheralded players and contend for titles. I think Kleiman was a great hire for the KSU mold.

But half the signing classes of the Top 10 teams? There was little speculation about any of these guys going anywhere other than where they had made verbal commitments.

It still seems odd that ESPN and the teams are so confident when half of their players haven't signed by 3pm CT.

I thought it might be just as simple as ESPN hadn't gotten confirmation from the schools or other press reports from signing events.

KSU truly wins in the margins. Attention to detail, focus on special teams, and structuring offenses systems to play t their personnel strengths.

It’s what ISU needs to improve to take the next step.
