I’ve got this weird feeling the Big 12 as a whole is going to flop in the tournament. Seems to always happen when fans gloat about how great their conference is.

Houston, ISU, and Baylor all have an ability to make a deep run

KU injuries/lack of depth vastly limits their ceiling

BYU/TCU could be sneaky dangerous (maybe)

Tech & OU…meh??? Far from special.

Texas…talented, but coaching is a major flaw

The bottom of the league has felt much weaker than it has the past 2 years

I don't think the bottom is that weak. They are competing against top 40 NET teams pretty much every game.

Cincinnati rolling in Norman. Playing with their backs are up against the wall because they are.

They are saying Iowa is on the verge of getting a bid, if they get one over OU, something is wrong. OU has quality wins over Iowa, Iowa State, Providence, BYU, and close losses to Houston and Tech. Iowa has nothing on their resume comparable. And two losses to Michigan?

This year, the Big 12 in basketball appears competitive, with teams like Texas Tech, BYU, TCU, Oklahoma vying for spots in the NCAA tournament. Despite their 19-8 overall records, SEC teams like Alabama and Kentucky are ranked higher, possibly due to stronger conference records and perceived player quality.

It remains to be seen how the custom basketball uniform of the Big 12 teams will impact their seedings and performance in the NCAA tournament, with questions surrounding how many teams will secure spots and advance through the brackets.
