If we win, aren't we pretty much locked into a 2 seed...unless Kansas loses the next two?

If we beat TCU, we are most likely the 2 seed and play at 6:00 (I am assuming KU beats WVU tonight - obviously if KU loses, we can realistically be the 1 seed). If we lose to TCU, we are most likely the 4 seed and play at 11:30am (boo!). There are some scenarios where we lose at TCU and still end up the 2 seed, but that is very unlikely imo.

If we win out, we are the 2 seed UNLESS....

West Virginia loses their last two games (Kansas, Okie St.) and Oklahoma wins their game Saturday vs. Kansas and Baylor wins out.

Then we are the 3 seed, because Oklahoma beat Baylor in head to head, and Baylor would be 4th best team.

IF West Virginia wins out and OU wins out, we share the title and are the 1 seed.

Doesn't it basically come down to needing to win at TCU and KU winning out for us to get the 2 seed? That would give OU and WV another lose and be a game back of us.

We win the tiebreaker vs. WV no matter what, so losses won't matter.

Against OU, as long as WV is the team behind OU in the standings and not Baylor, we are fine.

Crap. The 6:00 and 8:00 games on Thursday are on ESPNU. The good news is that the semis are both on ESPN or ESPN2.

It's still a hell of a lot better than previous years.

I believe the only seeds that have been figured out are the 9/10 seeds.

TCU beat Tech in the tiebreaker, so no matter how the season ends for either team, TCU is the 9 seed, Tech is 10.

Does anyone know the latest on Juwan Staten? Will he be playing tonight at Lawrence?

Sounds like Huggins was expecting him to play Saturday against Baylor, yet he didn't.

Neither Staten or Browne have practiced since Saturday, but Huggins says they are day to day.

My guess is they both play tonight. I know, at least for MBB, it's typical for teams to just sit their stars even if they're good to go just to play it safe. Nothing new Staten can learn in Huggins system.

That is a crazy scenario! But West Virginia is hurt and they have no chance at AFH. I think we are basically the number 2 seed. We have to win at TCU to earn it.
