It is also true to say that without our tax dollars there is no Iowa State University.

Well ****, without ISU I am not even here as that is where my parents met.

So you mean to tell me you are paying for me to be here?

I swear that Cam is a hell of a lot smarter than you.

I am not sure which one of your brilliant posts about how dumb I am is better. The first one, you totally turned my words around on me. That was good and really established your intellectual dominance. But the 2nd one, that really cut to my core. That is when I knew you meant business. Well played sir, but please, I beg of you, don’t do it a third time. I don’t think I could handle it.

And it's ALSO safe to say that had Iowa never been admitted to the union....

At this point I'm starting to rethink the Revolutionary War.

I mean, just 9 wins through December. Was it worth it?

To answer your bolded - the other guys have earned it more than Cam has.

I'm frustrated by Cam's lack of minutes but it's 100% on him. Right now he is being outplayed by almost everyone on the team. As coach Campbell says "Make me play you", well right now Cam isn't doing anything to make Prohm play him. And Cam is the one that needs to change that, he has all the potential in the world but he needs to figure out how to put it together. Until that happens Conditt needs to get minutes because he is actually being productive with his minutes.

Cam wasn’t there all summer. Cam has been “eligible” to play for three games. If you’re a coach you don’t just throw away all the hard work everyone else did. Cam is good...not that good. Cam isn’t ready and Prohm isn’t ready.

There would be no ISU, Iowa, or UNI, so what is your point here? ISU is the land grant university but all three are publicly funded.

I would say "our problem" right now is shooting and we need Wigginton back. That being said I absolutely love this team

Agree re: needing Wigg back. Not sure shooting is the problem as ISU leads the conference in scoring, is second in scoring margin, and is 3rd in FG %. I think the area of needed improvement is defensive FG% where ISU is 8th.

I hope Prohm puts Lard out vs Eastern Illinois and just lets him foul out. What’s the harm in a game like that? He clearly needs the reps. It’s not for him, it’s for the team.

If you don’t get why some are frustrated with Lards (lack of) minutes, I think it’s fair to point out that for all his strengths, Prohm does have a history of being slow to change game plans and rotations, and people remember that. Prohm kept running Holden out there and playing Young 5 m/g long after it was painfully clear Young was the best post we had and Holden didn’t belong anywhere near a P5 basketball court.

Gosh it probably had nothing to do with young breaking his hand and missing 6 weeks.

Jesus, facts still matter.

It has been that way for years. It's quite astounding that you even thought that your tax dollars paid for anything having to do with Iowa State athletics. Very ignorant.

Well he does have a parody of a screen name to live up to

Cam didn't lay basketball for 3 months this summer. He wasn't around the team, no open gyms, nothing. I think we all maybe underappreciated how much of an effect that would have. Division 1 basketball is hard. It's not like riding a bike where you just hop back on and remember how it goes. It's going to take him a while to get in a rhythm.

With that said, Prohm needs a serviceable big for Big 12 play. At this moment, I'm not so sure Conditt isn't a better option on the floor than Cam, but like Cam, he needs time on the floor to get comfortable as a freshman adjusting to D1 basketball. I think this has caused the somewhat random minute distributions. Do you spend the time on Lard hoping he can come out of his funk and remember what made him so good last year? Or do you give the minutes to the guy that is contributing more at this minute?
