Hard to beat Deadwood....but Cheers, Mash, and dare I say Vikings are all good.
I’ve tried twice. It just feels so dated. Same with the sopranos but that holds up better in my opinion.Has anyone tried to go back and watch The Wire again? I absolutely loved it at the time but for some reason it doesn't hold up for me anymore.
I mean. It’s Breaking Bad. And it’s not even really close.
I still haven't seen it. It's been on my list of shows to start for a long time, but I've never pulled the triggerHas anyone tried to go back and watch The Wire again? I absolutely loved it at the time but for some reason it doesn't hold up for me anymore.
11 years ago I picked the Venture Brothers. 3 seasons and a movie later, and I won't walk back my claim even an inch.I'd throw in the Daily Show/Colbert Report. I'm not sure if they're done by the same people, but they're both brilliantly written.
The Larry Sanders Show. It gets forgotten a lot, but it was an amazing show.
The Venture Brothers. Yes, it's a cartoon, but Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer are friggin geniuses when it comes to layered dialog and overall continuity. It's the type of show where you can watch an episode for the 10th time and still discover new jokes and callbacks that you never noticed before.
oh damn, forgot about Band of Brothers, and The Pacific. Hmmmm......both all time great shows.I assume losely based on non-fiction isn't eligible??
My favorite show of all time is Band of Brothers then Mad Men
The Pacific is wildly slept on.. It's very, very good, just not 1st ballot HOFoh damn, forgot about Band of Brothers, and The Pacific. Hmmmm......both all time great shows.
I think because a lot of it is technology based.Has anyone tried to go back and watch The Wire again? I absolutely loved it at the time but for some reason it doesn't hold up for me anymore.
Mad Men is so great. Don Draper is one of the coolest characters ever. This scene where he owns the beatnik is one of the best...I assume losely based on non-fiction isn't eligible??
My favorite show of all time is Band of Brothers then Mad Men
I still love the wire, have seen it all multiple times, but I don't think I would be able to get into it now watching it for the first time.Has anyone tried to go back and watch The Wire again? I absolutely loved it at the time but for some reason it doesn't hold up for me anymore.
