Did he offer the extension before of after Auburn offerred? It's possible JP thought he had to sweeten the pot to keep him, so that's why it was offerred. It's hard to believe it would be offerred based on performance for obvious reasons.

Just was said that it was after the season. And if Jamie offered it after the Auburn interview, that is even worse. At that point, you cast him off anyway - no returning at that point.

I'm glad they showed the video of two years ago. Because it should shut the people up who are jumping on Pollard right now. Why? Because we were all going crazy and were very excited about Chizik. And its not fair for us to jump ship on the decision when it went bad when Pollard has to stick to it.

I would be suprised if ANY local sports personalities played any sports beyond JV. Radio, print and TV.

SoundOFF is a quality show that Central Iowa is very lucky to have. The quality of the sportscasters at WHO is also something very impressive about Des Moines. Keith Murphy played QB back in the day. Not sure about Andy, but I know he went to Drake. Shame on you for talking down such a good show.

Hey now- I was never given the opportunity to play volleyball OR football, yet I sure as shootin' plan on coaching one if not both. In fact, if I find that I'm a good coach in one of those sports and I like doing it, I would love to coach at a college level. Would you criticize me for that?
