South 16th to Widen before 2025 Home Opener

I have thought about that about every time I have driven it from Duff over to University. I dont think it would be that hard to make it 4 lane the entire way.

That’s been needed for a while, same with the Grand/13th intersection turn lanes. I believe the latest plan is to break the S16th widening into two phases now so completed by fall 2026 (first phase next year).

Having the bike trail extended over to University on the north side of S 16th will be great too

Often, the logical solution is the path least traveled, ha.

Perhaps in the 1st phase, S 16th and Christiansen, will get a new set of stop lights too! Whew!
