OU and A&M are nuts if they would join the SEC over this. Texas will STILL continue to televise high school games and OU and A&M would find their chances at big time national success go DOWN. And never mind that they would be splitting up TV Money even more amongst SEC teams. In any league there are only going to be a couple super powers year after year. That is the nature of the beast. Only ONE SEC team can play in the NC game. Makes no difference if their are 4 or 6 contenders for that right. The others will have 3 losses or more and go to a lesser bowl.

I'll answer in part

OU & A&M jump to the SEC is a counter measure to the longhorn network, believe it or not there are plenty of kids in this country who WANT to play in the SEC above any other conference. Geneo Smith this year is prime example

OU will take some lumps but I'm willing to bet that we would hold are on

You're entitled to your opinion, you dog us for our bowl record lately, thats fine whatever

Oklahoma is ****** because they couldn't get their network going and Texas did. That's the end of it right there. aTm is just ****** they aren't Texas.

What Cheer, IA
I think this is a case of a quiet summer and people have nothing else to talk about so this "story" is drummed up.

If super conferences do materialize, I hope these athletic departments are stripped of their non-profit status. This crap is getting old.

it just seems irrational to myself and alot of other people to meet all of their demands. myself i would rather be in a smaller conference than to deal with that. JMO.

A typically stupid post from an idiot NU fan. Without AQ status ISU football would take a devastating hit. We need bandwagon fans to get to where we want to go and CUSA isn't going to grow our fanbase. Of course we're in the Big XII; it offers us the most money, connection to Texas and allegiance w/ ancient conference partners (which we value unlike that ****suck Tom Osborne).

Do you realize how ****ing stupid you sound feigning sympathy for ISU. A smaller conference? JFC.

Don't worry about ISU, we'll be fine, no thanks to NU.

I can't tell what is more petty. A group of teenage girls or the teams from the old B12 South.

Real Talk

A&M leaving opens the door for Sooners to leave without being the bad guy, in national perception.

Boomer,

Let me get this straight; after the Sooners go to the NC this season after not having to face potential upset in a CCG they'll decide, "Hey, this sucks, we should really find a tougher conference (SEC) w/ a CCG or a conference w/ zero connection to the state of Texas (Pac ##).

C'mon buddy, you know the Sooners are at home in Big 8 country.

When did Texas A&M start thinking they mattered? What have they done?

They are a mid-level Big 12 program... nothing more. When were they last in the Big 12 Championship game?

OSU and Mizzou are both better in football than A&M right now IMO.

All of the sudden they think they matter for some reason? Go ahead and leave, we don't really care about A&M.

The last thing I remember about A&M, was us taking them to the woodshed on their home field when Blythe had 4 TD catches.

Go ahead and go to the SEC and finish near the bottom every single year while Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Florida, etc beat up on you all the time. Good luck.

that is just my opinion and obviously im not the only one on here that think that, including some ISU fans.

Its not sympathy for ISU, i went to school at ISU, quite frankly i support ISU and have made donations to the athletic department as well as to the business school. ive probably given more money to the ISU athletic department than most on this board have. can you say the same? and honestly im sure that you will say anyone can say that and you are correct but i guess thats how it works. i honestly have donated alot in both of the programs mentioned above because i appreciate the school and because i had alot of fun at ISU games supporting ISU 11 times a year and tailgating in some of the best tailgating in the country.

all you see is my user name and automatically think that i must be a mother loving corn shucker!! haha hardy har har!!

Nebraska did what was best for Nebraska and if you go back to that time ISU was BEGGING to do the same thing so you really dont have any room to talk.

Just so I'm clear on this, are fanbases for teams going to cry realignment every time something happens that they don't completely agree with? Is the B12 going to become the teenage angst conference? Am I going to look up one day and see Aggy come out on the field in all black, eye liner on with My Chemical Romance playing over the loud speakers?
