I just don’t think those are similar at all. MJ was dinged up and held out of wrestle offs, Yonger is hurt, Paniro serving the gambling suspension. I guess you can take issue with Casey not going if he was just down to weight for wrestle offs and then Evan sure sounds like it was weight cut, or coaches decision/punishment.You’re getting it wrong. I love dual meets and want the cyclones to wrestle all the best dual meets we can get. Nebraska, Stanford, Minnesota, Oregon state, whoever. What I don’t like is that our team is now doing what Cornell did last year. Not showing up for a dual meet because we are putting an emphasis on nationals because we finally won something and now have an ego, like Cornell. I’m just upset we had an awesome home dual lined up to kick off the season on a Friday night and had guys not show up to compete.
So yeah it sucks to not see the full strength team and losing, but there is far more context to it. Its not Cornell sitting 4 starters who all wrestled other matches that day.
