Interesting that it looks like they are going with a male/female combo just like it was told in the Dark Forces video game. Except now instead of Jan Ors and Kyle Katarn it looks to be this Jen girl and a yet unnamed guy.
Jyn looks like Rey :wideeyed:

Yup. I can't believe that hadn't occurred to me until you mentioned it.

I have watched the trailer about 5 times. I didn't know how excited I should get about the movie but I am all in now. It looks beautiful. And Star Destroyers Man! Star Destroyers!
Good think I am no longer in high school, because I would totes have Jyn and Rey magazine cutouts in my locker.

I wanted some shots of Vader, but I get why they didn't. This isn't a story about Vader. But honestly that's the main selling point for me. I want to see Vader be the total badass. He shows up and utter destruction ensues. He should be the boogie man for the rebels. When they see him striding down the hall with his red lightsaber their only option is to flee.
Very true. Unless you're an advanced jedi, Vader might as well be a horror villain to you. If you hear him coming, you run. And he keeps coming.

The only time we've ever seen Vader on a "battlefield" is following stormtroopers into Leia's corvette and into Echo Base after everyone has already evacuated.
I agree, having a scene where Vader shows up leading the 501st against insurgents cutting people down and force-choking ******* would be epic.
Awesome trailer!
I have mixed feelings on showing Vader. I either want him not in it at all, or done really really well. I'm afraid the world or Star-Wars nerds (self-included) will be forever critiquing him if the actor who plays Vader doesn't walk exactly right, have exactly the right nuances, etc. Can James Earl Jones still "sound right" these years later?
Since this is Vader just before Ep. IV (so it seems), he must be exactly right.
When James Earl Jones passes away they are done with Vader in anymore films. The thought of having any other voice is sacrilege. To me it's the voice that makes the character.
