Strong has not been approached for ANY jobs this year...

Colleges still slow in hiring black head football coaches -- OrlandoSentinel.com

The Florida Gators aren't exempt from the issue. Gators defensive coordinator Charlie Strong, one of the best assistants in the nation, might endure another offseason without a head job. Athletic Director Jeremy Foley said he hasn't been approached from a school inquiring about the services of Strong, who is black.

"I've had my name thrown out there for so many jobs," Strong said in November. "I have a job and my job is to get us ready to play."

Strong has fallen victim to a large pool of African-American coordinators and assistants who have had trouble advancing. About 12 percent (31 of 255) of Division I-A coordinators are black, as well as about 31 percent (312 of 1,018) of assistant coaches.

He hasn't stayed any one place more than three years. Sounds too trancient to me.

Have you ever saw a resume of a good asst coach. They dont stay put for long. They move around to make good contacts and get themself in possiton to get a head job. I think he would be a good fit for ISU and there is not much talk about him so he may just be the guy.
