And bigger hands!!!!!!! I don't know if it was just perception or what, but the guy seemed to just drop the ball for no reason! UGH! :swoon:
FIFY
FIFY. Thus the hope for a better offensive line.I'm warming my arm up for when both GR and SR get bashed and systematically have their confidence shaken.
This. I don't have a clue what some people are saying when they say SR couldn't make plays in the passing game--perhaps it's a selective memory. I think that just about any QB on the roster, given some time in the pocket, with a decent running game for balance, can be a winning B12 quarterback. Whatever quarterback starts will be good with me.My money is on Richardson, but Rohach would neither surprise nor disappoint me. With anything resembling an offensive line, either guy has the tools to be pretty good.
I can honestly say it doesn't matter to me who starts. I just want a stud at QB. A play maker and a leader that the whole team will believe in. Give me DeAndre Kane in pads.

Or Monte Morris . . . rare turnovers!
I think that it depends on what kind of offense they actually run. If MM is running his KU offense, I can't think of a better comparison to Reesing than Sam Richardson. He has the Reesing skill set. If they run more of the KSU Michael Bishop offense, then it wouldn't surprise me to see Lanning starting. He's the bigger, more physical kid with the strongest arm. He can run the zone read and beat defenses deep. If it's a combination of those two offenses, then I would say that Rohach has the best shot. I'm just going to assume that MM is smart enough to avoid calling QB runs 20 times a game.
I rarely trust the Scout/Rivals ranking, but took a look at Scout to see how they projected the upside of each QB. Seems DLC might have the highest upside and is know for running ability. Interestingly, the two 2015 QB's the Cyclones seem to be recruiting the hardest have the highest rankings in the past decade (according to Scout): Burrow - 4Star, 26 and Boyle - 3Star, 45. Rankings below...
2014
Darius Lee Campbell - 3Star, NR 47
2013
Joel Lanning - 3Star, NR 65
Kyle Starcevich - No Ranking
Trevor Hodge - 2Star, NR 107
2012
Grant Rohach - 3Star, NR 73
2011
Sam Richardson - 3Star, NR 136

Listen to the D'Vario Montgomery interview. Coaches will take this into account. Montgomery is a big time receiver with lots of Richardson history. Then watch the Spring Game. And finally throw most of this spring practice stuff out the window because lots will change by the time fall is here. My bet, Sam Richardson all the way, and Richardson and Montgomery will have a record breaking year.
