And a P5 team (yes, that's us) should be able to establish a run game against ANY FCS team.

In reality it isn't always going to happen. KSU rushed 23 times for 41 yards (1.8 yd ave) against NDSU last year. That is what they do and they are damned good at it.

ISU's rushing game is bad. That is magnified by facing some stout run defenses thus far this season.

Good call.

Interesting. He lines up against the outside WR with his back to the sideline and I'm sure he is coached to do that. Don't think I've seen that at the college level. That common?

how does he run a 4.38 40 but a 11.37 100 meter?
(my 2000th post)
I don't know. I will, however, mention that last year at this time, Michael Warren claimed a 4.37 40 coming out of summer camps, while having similar junior times (11.24, 11.34) on the track--from the same source. Then his senior track season, he tore off a personal best 10.71 (along with a 10.8 or two)--which, I think, makes the 4.37 claim a bit more legit.

Perhaps Stephon will do something similar.

1 yard = .9144 meters
40 yards = 36.576 meters
100 meters / 36.576 meters = 2.734
2.734 * 4.38 seconds = 11.97 seconds

I'd say the 11.37 seconds in the 100 meter is pretty good.

Good job. Doesn't play that close to the LOS and gives big cushion. Not afraid to come up and make some tackles. The way he seems to do better playing a zone makes me wonder if he will be a safety not a CB here. Probably not a 4.3 guy, but could see high 4.4 to low 4.5 . Looks like a good leaper.

Zone leverage, you'll also see a few plays where he had his back to the QB, I assume, which is man. Some hs coaches teach playing that way because it helps eliminate coverage mistakes. Most college programs line up to try and disguise the coverage more.

I hadn't seen that before, so I appreciate the insight.

Thankfully we have stopped recruiting Hobbits! Understand #4 has skills but cannot teach height - kept getting hooked up with 6'4" Baylor wides - tale of the season.

Fwiw I ran a 4.6 electronic timed 40 in H.S. and about an 11.4ish 40. So he probably runs a little better than a 4.6
