Well, with UCLA's pedigree, I'm ready to head to Vegas now and put money on them being the first #1 seed to lose to a #16. Alford loves to lose in the first round to highly underseeded teams.

I don't see how decisions get made by people who haven't been "paying attention". I don't know why they made the decision they did, but I'm sure there was some thought about each season and vetting going on.

It just seems like the kind of decision that would be made by old men who remember the glory days of Alford at Indiana and who buy the sales pitch of a really good agent.
