if that is what you call multiple failed ventures.

I think it would be wise for anyone to chill-out about calling anyone a failure unless you've taking similar financial risks and/or pursued your passions (whether you or I agree with them or not) to the extent both of these two seem to continue to do.

If it was an easy thing to do, none of you would be sitting in your cubical right now watching over you shoulder to assure the boss doesn't walk by as you enter your next comment on CF.

Because it's very easy to call someone else a failure when you have been soooo successful in your own ventures.:rolleyes:

EDIT: btw, I'm all out of rep for you, so here's a +1

Because you know everyone posting here personally?

I happen to agree with you but you have no idea what anyone else does or has done. I don't rip on dace for his "ventures", failed or not. I rip on him for everything else.

the end.

It was more a general comment to several comments here...I just happen to grab yours as a quote when I responded.

Statistics show most people are not even close to working their ideal jobs. If you're the exception, good for you! But if true, makes it even odder that you'd call-out people for pursuing their dreams/passions...whether they succeed or not.

What's a Hawkeye? How come Iowa's mascot isn't an eyeball?

No need to answer. This whole thread is worthless.

First off, they said Steve will give his updated football predictions on today's show.

Now, i really don't know why everyone hates Miller and Deace here on the boards. While we may not like everything they say about ISU, I think that's the point of trying to be impartial (notice I said trying, I don't think anyone can ever totally be impartial).

Do they spend a little too much time on the hawks? Well, yes, but since there are a lot more hawk fans here in iowa, can you really blame them? And do steve's political ideas come through in his sports talk? Yeah, but once again, this goes back to doing your best to be impartial.

In my opinion, I'll take a local show any day over one of the "million" national blow-holes that are on the radio these days. Oh, and they are a LOT better than the Travis and Tim show.

Why is Stanford's mascot a tree?
Why is Miami's mascot an Ibis?
Why is Western Kentucky's mascot a blob?
Why is ISU mascot a cardinal?

Why? Because these mascots are all awesome, that's why.
