Way up there
I'm curious to see the type of high school kids he targets for 2016. Will he keep Fred's blueprint of going for the homerun 5* guys? Maybe he's just too far behind for 2016 on those guys, but going forward it will be interesting to see the high school kids he targets.

It's great to see he has experience meshing high school, juco and transfers together. Hopefully that allows him to minimize any step back in 2016-17

Considering that worked a whopping zero times, I'd say we can that strategy.

I don't think you stop going after them entirely, but banking on them as the only targets shouldn't happen. Going after 1-2 a year that we are in on early at this point doesn't bother me. Keep winning and getting national recognition and eventually we will start landing these guys.

If we want to consistently compete and unseat KU atop the Big12, we will need to get some elite talent. You can beat them with lower level guys, but staying on top is going to require us to turn the corner sometime.

There's a reason KU has won so many years in a row. They have the most talent more often than not.

I learned on CF that he wasn't recruiting this week... and we need to fire our coach.

I'm hopeful that what will separate him from some mid-major coaches that have failed at Power 5 schools is that he has been willing to go high school, juco, and transfers.

According to isuno1fan yesterday, it's easy to recruit kids from the south to Murray State but impossible to recruit those kids in the south to Ames, IA. This genius is right so we are wasting our time if we try to sign anyone from the southeast. I can't believe some of the people on this site...

It doesn't surprise me that tool would say that.

I think he would want to fill at least one of the scholarships for next year if he can find a good fit for it. ISU will be losing a lot of senior leadership after next year and it's easier to maintain a winning culture than it is to build one from scratch. As many guys as you can get that can experience and participate in that culture and carry it forward the better.
