With the amount of people in town I’m assuming service will be a challenge. Verizon is always slow anyway. What are the best avenues to stream ESPN?

side note: Has anyone ever used their vehicle (Chevy) hotspot?

Streaming will be pretty impossible unless you have an internet source outside cellular data.

Pretty sure vehicles that have wifi get it through the cell towers. So probably not much luck will be had there.

I would guess streaming won't be much of an option this weekend. I bought a dish Tailgater and used it for the first time last week.....it worked awesome and it sets up itself. If you already are a satellite subscriber, I'd look into that.

It seemed the Verizon worked well last Saturday until about an hour before kick. We were streaming games until then. I imagine this weekend will be worse.

Streamed all day Friday and Saturday vs UNI with zero problems with the exception of the 15-45 minutes prior to kick, had issues, then 5 min before kick, no problems for the rest of the game (not counting the ESPN+ issue on their end). Used AT&T. Also had no issue with text messages, calls, streaming PS5 games, and streaming music on game day (only issues were streaming videos in that short window)...

FWIW, I have USCellular, and my friend has AT&T. Normally I would laugh at his coverage vs mine in Iowa.

But on saturday, he had quite good service, and mine was as bad as it has ever been, just no service at all for 99% of the game. So there might be something in that - who brings mobile towers, how the services are prioritized, etc. IDK.

Yeah I used to stream from a tablet a few years ago and the more people that come the harder it was to keep the stream from buffering constantly. One of my friends bough the Dish tailgater a few years ago and that has been pretty slick as long as you don't get parked next to something that blocks your view of the south sky like you sometimes could in the grass lots or Vet Med.

Yeah, if you have Verizon, you are screwed. You will have a hard enough time getting text messages out, much less streaming video.
