I don’t know, maybe the gray hairs and the ones that die their hair black could set a better example?

We actually have it pretty good. Those F KU chants only happen at the KU game. I went to an @Mizzou game last year and they do the F KU chant at every game. I thought it was really strange.

The f*ck KU I can sort of agree with, but you suck D*ck was the kids name. But yeah our fan base is pretty rabid especially in big games. Wait till the Mormons come to town, that'll be a feisty day.

Honestly they all will be pretty feisty, but BYU should have the crowd amped
Tang was able to get the students to quit swearing at KSU...so he's the answer, clearly

Sure why don't you go to to the alley next time and tell them all to be nice. I'm sure that will go over like a fart in church.
The mere fact people are justifying it, says it all. 'It' being classlessness. And, yes, Tang was classless. And, yes, it got a lot of you riled up. But, c'mon folks. Classlessness in return? Wow, what a time we live in.
Oh, and every 'dumb' further proves our point!

What a great day and fun atmosphere. But am I the only one that cringes when our student section chants:

F**k KU ( or whoever we’re playing ) and

You suck D**k ???

We had a 8 year old boy sitting beside us with his father and he was as uncomfortable as it gets. Is the vulgarity necessary?

The F "opponent name here" chant is low class and tiresome. As are the excessive, and often wrong (as in it wast a bad call anyway) BS chants.

The "you suck ****" is different as its part of his name. No problem with creativity or using somethings that's there. Bur I agree the ex Essie vulgarity chants are classless and need to go.

As an adult I am not a fan of it. However, when I was younger I was probably the one who started that chant. So I can’t hate

More than the chant itself is how excessive they've become. I remember when the BS chants started becoming a thing and it was once a game. Now you can here it several times a game, even when it was tbe right call. The FU KU chant wasn't just done once, it was done multiple times. At that point it loses its effect and becomes just "another chant".

With all of tbe kids there it needs to go away.

They're college kids. Good luck with that. To be clear it wasn't a justification. I just know when something is a waste of energy.

I remember going to my first ISU hockey games in the early 90’s at the old ice arena. It was the craziest enviroment I’d ever seen to that point. The building was dark and dingy, the people were raw, the pep band was raucous, and the game was violent. The PA would blast the line from ”Heartache Tonight” by the Eagles where they say “Sombody’s gonna hurt someone, before the night is thru.” The refs/opposing team were fornicating with farm animals, and a player whose number ended with “4” had a mother who was always a *****.

it was amazing!
