I remember one of ISU's all-tine greats (Naz) not being a good shooter early in his career, it's called development. I'm not saying that he's the greatest, just that it would good to see him at ISU. Some are trying hard to prove he isn't good.
Naz was 3 star recruit playing at Findley prep, while your son is playing 3a basketball in Iowa with zero offers.

This is a pretty bad take

Like I said earlier I would love to see him as a walk-on at ISU but I just don't think he is a kid you offer a scholarship to at this time. He is not even close to 6-4. Heights on quikstats and high school programs are often exaggerated. He plays the point but he does not seem quick enough to play it at the P5 level. He has a really polished game with a really nice mid-range jumper. I would guess most DI programs view him as a kid who is pretty close to his ceiling.

If CSP was looking to add a small school guard from Iowa I would wait a couple years and go after the Boorn kid from Norwalk.

Nope, I'd rather have those guys. This has nothing to do with our current recruits, players, or anyone except him. I think he will be a good player. He is talented, under the radar and will be good to see him succeed. It obviously won't be at ISU and that's just fine. end

Except it does have to do with current recruits because if you recruit this kid you aren't recruiting someone else.

My father coached at Newton for years. I saw him play when he was a freshmen. Really thin kid but dad said he should still have some room too grow when you look at his family. Nice kid, good work ethic, talented athlete, smart.

Bowen Born, son of Cyclone great Mike Born. I’m sure I’m not the only CFer that went to his camps. Hopefully Bowen keeps growing and developing.
I've seen Bowen play a couple of times. Unlimited range, quick shot. He's just a Sophomore and he's leading the #1 class in 3A in scoring. I was very impressed, but he needs to grow physically, like a lot, in order to be a P5 player.

Prohm isn't in the market for kids that need developed. He's in the market for kids who can step on campus and start from day one. The kids we are recruiting are recruiting to play 1-3 on the floor aren't projects. We don't need projects, we need ballers.

Can he graduate early and enroll for the second semester? I know a team that could use a walkon.

No kidding. What an untimely/unfortunate coincidence that this is the first year in a long time we didn't come across any walk-ons. Where is Stu when we need him? Especially knowing we have two sit-outs and didn't fill #13.

Doubt it. Fran isn't big on guards. Now if he can hit a growth spurt and turn into an awkward PF, Fran will be all over him.
...and if he is a goofy looking bastard also. (Oh relax PC police...it's a joke!)
