Anyone else going to see Turnpike Troubadours, Shooter Jennings, Old 97's, and the Bottle Rockets in Mankato in a couple weeks?
Jealous. AA's new album is my favorite of this year, and their best work yet. Cory Branan kicks ass too.
So far this summer I made it to Dave Matthews Band (always a great show) and The Pixies/Weezer which was a ton of fun. But Friday night I went to see Pepper/Stick Figure/Slightly Stoopid and it was AWESOME!

Seeing Greta Van Fleet tonight at the Armory in Minneapolis, and as I was walking down the street to the CVS by my place yesterday I ran into Josh and Jake Kiszka walking out haha.
2 things. 1) really chill guys and very welcoming of a picture and shooting the **** for a minute while I got my phone ready. and 2) they are TINY. Like barely over 5 foot if I had to guess hahah, I knew they were short but not that short.

It doesn't really qualify as a concert, but if you get a chance to see Hamilton during its Des Moines run you definitely should.
Man I haven't seen Slightly since high school, that was an awesome concert back then, I can only imagine what it was like in that setting.
Slightly Stoopid's new album dropped Sunday. And Stick Figure's latest is solid too.
Really!? Thats awesome, its been at least since 2015 since they had an album release right? What is the name of the new album, do you know?
I had trouble catching the lyrics several times (I didn't cach one word of Lafayette's rap), but an usher I was chatting with at intermission said that a lot of people had mentioned that. No complaints, though. It's not as if missing a line here and there prevented you from understanding what was going on or following the story.

Also seeing Greta Van Fleet tonight! Very excited to see them and to finally check out the Armory.
Should be awesome! I've heard mixed reviews of the Armory, so I hope it does his voice and their sound justice.
I'm sure they will kick ass either way. I always wished I could have seen Led Zeppelin in concert, so I suppose this will be as close as I'll get.
Well Richard Plant said this earlier this year " Plant cited Greta Van Fleet as one of his favorite young bands, saying "they are Led Zeppelin I" and describing Josh as "a beautiful little singer."
So I think you aren't far off in your thinking haha
