The pac 12-14-24 what ever will need to keep expanding west and north or take schools in he east coast. The travel would be terrible. This is why Kansas and K-ST could be swept to the west? Geography. The same reason that ISU could be in the big ten. Geography.

It's gettin to the point where conferences like the Big 10 are going to be adding schools that don't do much in turns of TV sets.
After TV sets they're going to look at things like academics and geography. Don't forget about all the ties ISU's admins have to the Big 10. If the Big 10 goes to 16, they're going to likely add schools that don't make much money. Why not add one that works in every other way?

@GSwaim: With super conferences and a playoff, the days of independents would be over in football...much like they ended in basketball long ago.
