People who break things that aren't theirs for fun are a low level of scum, IMO. People should have to own up for things they have done and that doesn't sit right with me. And no, not everything is insured. Someone usually has to pay for the things that are broken, and some posters just seem to not care if they don't know the poor guy. If there is one more VEISHEA riot there won't be a VEISHEA anymore. Rioting should not be a tradition at Iowa State, it just destroys other traditions.

Probably 99% of the students in the 2000 riot were just running around yelling. Nothing was destroyed, nobody was injured. Just a big group of kids enjoying the moment.

That sounds like the Bin Laden rally. I don't understand why it can't just be like that. It isn't a riot if nothing is destroyed or nobody is hurt.
