I'm thinking about going to the K-State game this year and was just wondering how the tailgating is down there. I read on their website that alcohol is not allowed in the tailgate area. Is this true? If so, what fun is that??

OMG man you have been talking to a total innocent. Bring all the booze you want. Just drink it out of a large plastic glass. KSU Stadium is on state property so it is technically illegal to consume alcohol in the parking lot. The law is enforced in spirit only. If you stay civil and are stable when upright you will not have any problems. Get mouthy and falling down drunk and you will have the treat of free room and board for the evening and a wallet emptying experience Sunday morning.

Seriously, Wildcat fans enjoy tailgating with fans from visiting teams. Most will treat you very well as long as you remain a gentleman. Yes, there are a few ******** in every group so just ignore them.

Tailgating is mild compared to JTS... You don't see as many tents and grills and things you see here. I have been there the last two games we played in. You must have your alcohol in a dixie cup at all times. If you don't, plan on pooring out alot of drinks. Keep you cooler closed at all times and don't display an alcohol. Like the wildcat fan said, the law won't bother you as long as you are respectful.

The fans are for the most part easy going. I have a group of about 12 wildcat fans I went with the last 2 games. I was the only Cyclone fan in the group. Most people are extremely nice, unlike our neighbors to the east or west.

In 2004, I ended up tailgating right next to Nik Moser's parents. Very good people and a good time was had by all.

My advice.... Dixie 16oz plastic cups.... Treat others as you would want to be treated.

Of course I'll be there again along with my wife and probably the same K-state group I was with. I also know about 20 other people going

...

Isn't the same true for JTS? Not sure, but I would think that is state property. Or is there a difference between 'state property' and 'state university property' ?

This is a good idea in general. ALL good beer deserves to be poured into a glass to awaken the hops.

Word. I've heard that the red pigment in the plastic SOLO cups really unlocks the full flavor of Busch Light and makes it dance on your palate.

Spot on. Polyetheylene terephalate has long been known for its bouquet-enhancing properties.

I've heard some French wine makers are experimenting with plastic bottles for their wine to reduce overseas shipping costs. Lacks a little cache, methinks.

Manhattan is fun. One of the better road tail gates I've been a part of. It's not JTS tailgating, but then, few places are as good. Out of the 4 Big 12 stadiums I've been to besides Jack (others being Baylor, NU, and Mizzou) it was the best tailgate experience, and the probably the coolest fans. A bit on the hick side, but fun.

Ah yes, 'bouquet', that's the word I was looking for!
