Where do you park to tailgate? It would be cool if we were all near the same place, we could do a CF tailgate!

Re: Where do you park?

We'll be in one of the new donor lots this year...I think it's G7. Will be back over in the Hilton lots next fall when we increase our donation.

Yeah - it'd be great to get all together, especially for people like me who are on this site but live outside the state and only get back for a game per year. However - I'd love to make a traveling group as well - two years ago i was at A&M (the Blythe game), last year i was at UT, and both had the alumni club or something with a tent, but it'd be great to always have a CF tailgate at each Cyclone game, whether it be at home or on the road. I see we have one for home games, but need them for the road too... I'll be in Lubbock in October, so I'd be happy to get that one rolling too!

It's been ten years since I've been at a game. Will be there this year though for the Iowa vs. ISU game. Can't wait. Went to Iowa City last year with a group of friends, we are all coming back for the game in Ames. Want to prove to them it's much better tailgating at Iowa State.

Beechin IT!!! We do it every year as we like the grass and shade under the trees. And if additional people need to park they can do it down the side streets and walk to our tailgate on Beech!!!

Between Hilton and Trice, right on the grass next to Elwood/future University). D-2.

here's a map for parking.

I hope more people actually show up to tailgate earlier now since you have to pay extra for it.
I think a lot of donors would receive one but would only use it to park. Now lower level donors can come have fun too.

We park in a1, a2, b3, b4. Usually I try to get a slot in A1 right on the grass.

In C5 between Hilton and JTS. I have timed it many times and it is exactly a 2 beer or a tall 7&7 walk from the car to the gate!

What about Seats?

Section 7 Row 5

How are those seats??? Is Row 5 too close? My seats were reassigned this year to Section 6 Row 6, while I love being close, I am a little concerned about sight lines especially for seeing the action in the south end zone.

Parked on the corner right across from the Jacobsen building, to the east of the firetruck the last few years. Moving to the RV/bus area this year.

Looks like ill also be in the new donor lot G7 with my fellow century donors. I dont care where im at as long as i got my crown royal and some food.

S4! Right outside the East gate!!! Seats are in Section 23 so easy access outside at half time for a quick refreshment!!

I always park on the corner of Elwood and South 16th, right along the Elwood fence. I cant wait to tailgate!!! Jose, round up the troops, I'll bring the drinks!

We used to park north of JTS near Hilton until they cranked up the paved lot rates last year so we tried nearly all the spots out. I think we settled for the grass lots south of JTS as the most fun ones. Most of us are in our mid to late 20's so we aren't too far removed from the college scene but there is definately a lot more happening where the students are at and I'd say there is a fair mix of older folks there too who are like us and want to be where the action is.
