If THT is to the point where they are communicating to try and get things smoothed over, that's where he wants to go and that's where he's likely to go. I don't feel great about this. I do think we some sort of movement on Harris immediately if that happens and hey, if you would have told everyone they could have Griffin, Haliburton, Conditt and Harris this summer, they would have taken that in a heartbeat without any sort of hesitation or question.
Yes but I'm greedy and want MOAR!

As of yesterday this model (PASR Predictive Analytics for Successful Recruiting) still gives a slight edge to ISU.

THT is #115.

No insider rumors, CB nonsense etc., just a model based on utility maximization theory -- i.e., it predicts which school will provide a recruit with the highest possible expected utility.
Which means nothing unless the recruit actually uses that model to help make his decision.

Our staff is concerned with what Illinois fans do on twitter?
Why wouldn’t they be? I know we’re old, but remember recruits have now grown up with Twitter, and it’s a legitimate metric of support to many kids that do not remember a time without trending topics.

Fair point but I don't think a recruit would necessarily have to use the exact model in order to give it predictive value. He would only have to be evaluating roughly the same information and interpreting "utility" in roughly the same way. It has a greater than 75% predictive success rate which is better than most of the 247 prognosticators who can switch their predictions at the last minute.

If the answer is obvious the recruit will notice. All the staffs are selling, selling, selling. Wading through that ain't easy (and I'm an engineer) if there's not much difference in the utility parameters.

As for predictive value...I put next to ZERO on crystal balls so that's like saying "She's hotter than Sarah Huckabee Sanders".

How can you say that?

Pretty sure she has not asked the President about that.

Iowa State has put themselves in a great position. Whatever happens, just remember. Prohm can't recruit guys...

I was thinking about that this morning with Campbell as well...

I'm hoping when we beat TCU this weekend CMC tells the post game interviewer who runs up to him and says...

"Coach, you've beaten two top 5 teams already this year at Iowa State! How does it feel?"

"Well espn sideline chick, clearly Kirk Herbstreit is right...you can't win or compete at a high level here at Iowa State...." Then rolls his eyes and walks off. :):)

Now that I've googled Sarah Huckabee Sanders I have another reason to not talk about politics.
