Props to THT for taking his OVs and making a decision. For our staff, that’s all you can ask for.

The biggest reason I want THT is from how well Prohm (and ISU for the last 6 years) has been able to use similar players as matchup problems. It’s huge to have guys like that.

I think he’s got two very good options in ISU and Xavier.

I saw a tweet somewhere that he started following Ayo (and one other Illini guy) after his visit. Hard to say, I know our guys follow or are followed by plenty of guys who never actually came here.

I read this morning on the Illinois board that he un-followed Ayo in the past 24 hours. Appears THT courtesy followed prior to the visit then promptly dropped the follow it once he left campus.
If you want to read in to tweeting meaning of 18 year olds I would say it isn't a good sign for Illinois or at least Ayo's twitter content. Maybe Ayo re-tweets too much. ;-)

Xavier is the threat here not Illinois

Seems like THT shortened his timeline, makes me like our chances since we only have 1 scholly left (don’t know how many XU or IU have). Much better position than the last few years when we had so many holes to fill. Allows Prohm to say, “we love you, you’re our #1, but to be fair to your potential teammates we need to know by Nov. 1st. Cause we have some other players who want to come here”. Good luck to all 3 schools.

They may have also been direct-messaging to each other during THT's visit, and maybe he didn't want to get any more DM's from Ayo trying to convince him to pick Illinois.

Anyone know if he follows any Xavier players or recruits?

Illinois is 13-6 against Iowa over the worst 10 year span in our program's history (including the last three in a row). We don't have to rebuild to beat Iowa.

Though to look at their message board, they are going to compete with MSU this year for the B1G championship. Hahaha

Please beat them this year. It's at Hilton right? PS Most Illini fans really wanted Conditt. I think that kid is going to be a great one. Tough miss...

If you want to make fun of Iowa basketball, you can have a nice home here.

Or the kid who just decommitted from Wisconsin.

The big boys are involved here so this seems extremely unlikely. I don't mean to be overly negative with this comment. Prohm is recruiting well. Just hard to win a recruitment where UK, UNC, KU etc... are involved.

Also it doesn't really matter since THT should be a Clone.

The State of Hockey

Interesting. Discussed what he liked about each school, then followed up with comments from Conditt.

Iowa State: “I’ve had a relationship with them for the longest out of the three schools that I’ve had now. When they first started talking to me, it was early in my freshman year. Just having a relationship with them has been great.

Xavier: It’s a great opportunity to be able to come in and continue what Trevon [Bluiett] and JP[Macura] already started. Being able to come in with the guys they have and possibly go to the tournament would be a great opportunity.

Illinois: It’s my home state. The fan support there is great. I have a relationship with coach [Brad] Underwood and he’s a great coach. He’s a great person who’s done a lot.”

Illinois Visit: “Pretty much just the support that I got from everyone there. I saw everything that I didn’t see when I went on my unofficial visit. It was nice and I liked it a lot. I wanted to check out each school and that’s why I kept the schools that I kept in.

Iowa State Visit: “It was good, just being around those guys at Iowa State, who I’d be there with is just great. It’s nice to see who I have to be around when I go there.

Xavier Visit: “Just being able to see what I could do when I come in. They talked a lot about how they let their guards play and how I’d fit well in their system.”

George Conditt spoke with D1VISION about the possibility of joining forces with Horton-Tucker. “It would be great to have Talen Horton-Tucker with us,” said Conditt. “If he commits to Iowa State it would help us a lot. He’s a great player and a great friend of mine, so I’m going to respect his decision, just like everyone respected mine.”
