I can remember a time when some folks were upset when Herman left ISU.

He wasn’t a terrible offensive coordinator, at least at the standards of the time. And I think the fact that he was grabbed up by Urban Meyer at Ohio State gave the impression we were really losing something, when in reality, Urban was always the one running that offense, not Herman.

It was the beginning of the end of Rhoads. Never found anyone competent on offense to replace him.
