Everyone knows harvest season is the best time of the year in Iowa. But there are so many Cyclone exports and transplants that many don't get to enjoy it anymore. But we can live vicariously though those who live it. Whether it's the beautiful fall landscapes, unexpected wildlife, pegging the yield monitor or whatever brightens your day, feel free to share it here. We know you're out there. We've seen the stubble. Give us some of that cab's eye view.

Sorry, all I've got to kick this off is this ~30 year old piece of nostalgia.

I enjoy being around my "family" farm. Used to be my grandparents now my cousin and his kids work it. Always offer to help and am willing to learn but never get taken up on my offers. Stay safe all!

My father owned a Case IH dealership. Wish I kept track of how many 16 series combines I power washed and waxed as a kid.

Awesome view and great thread idea. In my immediate area, you better have your camera on standby, as fields are wiped out in a matter of hours. 12 row heads, 1000bu+ grain carts and 2-3 semis make short work of what used to take days. I remember my dad thinking he had the world by the tail when he purchased his first sheller attachment for his 2 row mounted picker. The wagons we filled back then held less than what many combine grain tanks do now. Anybody else remember six inch augers and bins that had no sweep augers? Storage bins that held about the same as current semi trailers? Filling corn cribs with ear corn?

Our farm cats LOVED the day when we emptied our corn crib. It was mouse genocide day.

Wow. Memories good food at morning lunch and noon dinner. The best neighbors always helped. Supper was good too that day.

Shelling corn was always good work. I usually ended up in the top pushing it down and avoiding mice.
