The newer stuff will have auto steering, implement 1 touch push the button to raise and lower etc. Then there will be a monitor that tracks your progress across the fields that will show all kinds of planting /field work information. Next time farm progress is in Boone take a trip up and wander around for the day you'll see the latest and greatest and there is usually stuff you can test drive if you're willing to wait in line.Non-farm guy, here. Kinda like sitting in the pilot’s seat of an airplane but with more monitors to watch. As suggested, go to the FPS in Boone and walk thru the tech building, it’s mind blowing. The problem with technology in ag is that there is an unlimited amount of products available but the ROI is limited. Musk evidently luring tech engineers from John Deere since we’ve been operating auto guide along with syncing equipment for years. New Big Thing is sprayers that identify and spray individual weeds while moving at normal speeds thru the field. Greatly reduces chemical usage (pleases environmentalists) & chemical cost (pleases farmers but not chemical companies). 15 years ago a JD salesman told me there was more software in my combine than the original space shuttle which may have been BS but I tend to believe it.
