Not sure where you guys are getting this idea that "All In" came from Chizik. It wasn't part of the team environment at ISU in 2007 or 2008.

It started in 2009 when Rhoads & Co. came to Ames. It's been a central part of the football program since then, and just recently (this season) made it's way into the public eye. Auburn embraced the same saying during the 2010 season.

Kinda like how Notre Dame football is synonymous with the "Play Like a Champion Today" sign, but most don't realize that Oklahoma's football program was the first to use that phrase and put it on a board for players to hit on their way out of the locker room.

Actually, the "All In" mantra was used on the basketball team by McDermott. Chizik liked the idea and translated it to the football team.

As I said a few weeks ago, the "all in" slogan seems a little hollow to me when Coach Herman is allowed to run our offense during the bowl game. No, I don't blame Herman for taking the OSU job. I just qestioned the wisdom of allowing someone who made it clear he'd rather work at OSU to continue coordinating our offense. But I'm just a fan, so what do I know?

I just think "all in" applies to ALL or else it's just a meaningless slogan.

Was that Chizik's mantra or our AD's marketing department?

I always thought of it as Pollard and Rhoads. They seem to embody it.

I never associated Chiz and "All In". To be honest I never even noticed it until CPR.

I like "All In" and hope ISU keeps it.
Agree with you on this. The recruits are embracing it (Duaron Williams), players as well, so we should as fans. It was our way of life since CPR took over, and there is no changing now.

Chizik is my least favorite coach EVER in college football. 2nd to last - Jerry Sandusky. That is quite the feat Gene.

I think in 2012 we should drop the Chizik "all in" battle cry and come up with one from CPR? What do you think?
I don't think we should sure chiznuts came up with it but you can not tell me he wAS ALLL IN BUT CPR likes it and you can't tell me he isn't so lets keep it and the players ARE ALL INN
