Bittersweet deal for me. Was a great run and I appreciate Mark's friendship and support of CF but it's time to move on. People evolve over the years. Things change. Mark has goals of his own and with a second kid coming in a few weeks, I'm more focused on being a great dad/father than ever before, along with putting the rest of my energy into growing CF and KXnO. Nothing contentious about the end of this but I'm excited about what I will be able to put that 3-4 hours a week on Thursday towards going forward. Thanks to all who listened over the years.

My son always talks about how lame our friends become when they start having kids.

The big twist in the end --

Just like Michael Jordan, it was actually an undisclosed suspension for gambling.

Saying "it was time" wasn't enough for me. CW saying that he has to give that time elsewhere is a more satisfying explanation.

I always thought this was a win/win financially for Charter and CF. Perhaps CW raised the price and Charter balked. Once Niang joined, the price of CW's podcast time had to shoot up!

So, how about an occasional off-season special edition FAWcast?

I would definitely like a tacky, garish, nostalgic reunion special -- needs to include Adam Gray plus all the other usual suspects -- just to reminisce and say goodbye. I do not begrudge it being time to move on, but could they at least put a bow on the series?

Just ending in the middle of a sentence is kind of lame.

Yeah, it was such an abrupt ending. I at least need a FAWcast wrap up episode.
Maybe have @AdamJGray back on, that is if he’s not stuck on the toilet with the runs all day as usual.

wait i thought the real estate market in des moines/ankey was killing?

I would say it has slowed quite a bit. We are closing on a house this August, and the market was far less competitive than the previous couple years. We got the perfect house for us, new build, maintained extremely well, and we were the only offer, and purchased a bit below asking price.

It’s slowing down a bit. My dad is a realtor and he said there were something like 150 homes in the metro that all reduced their price in a single day last week.

These two things are kind of opposites.

Add me to the disappointed list. Friday Fawcast and forcing my wife to listen to it in the car was the start to my weekends. I hope something light hearted takes it's place. The Niang pod has the potential, but I can't see it being very long term.

You guys don't really think this is an economic decision by Charter related to woes in the real estate market, do you?

I take it at face value. Both he and C-Dubs can't give it priority on a weekly basis. It was fun while it lasted. I always enjoy CF for what it is . . . until its gone. Woah, that was deep.

I am finally getting around to listening to the final episode and I have a new tin foil hat theory. C-Dub was mad at Charter for giving a free commercial to Community Credit Union at the beginning of it, then **** hit the fan, they throw down, make up over some sobbing and busch light, then part ways.

Yes, everything is about money. I'm sure the amount he had to pay for this podcast wasn't insignificant and that investment might have just not made sense anymore.

I’m sure the price to advertise on CF has increased fairly significantly since the pod started as well.
