Here is part 2 of the Wayne Morgan series covering the 2003-04 season, including John Neal helping defeat Iowa at home, the phantom 3 at Kansas and Boddicker's missing at the free throw line to give ISU the win at home.

Amazing reading about how that KU game went down. Explains how much this league and the officials are in the tank for KU in basketball. I thought the BS at Hilton a couple years ago was bad.....that game in Lawrence takes the cake. We can't take away a basket that should have never been taken.....and oh yeah, just because his foot is over the line doesn't mean we can't call it a three. Just like a couple of years ago in Hilton it was and F you ISU from the league. Which leads me to ask....how many times have league officials been suspended, and the league apologized to ISU for crappy officiating over the years in any sport?

Also, couldn't help to think would that win have been enough to put us over the hump and get into the dance? Winning in Lawrence, beating KU twice would have been huge on our resume.

I think you're right. Another good read and brings back good memories of what guys like Vroman, Homan, Sullivan, Stinson, Blaylock, and of course John Neal brought to Hilton Magic.

Good lord that article could use some editing. Otherwise an entertaining read, I am interested in the final installment where he talks about JP firing him.

The Texas game. Man, that was an insane atmosphere during those free throw shots.

That roar from Hilton is the greatest sound. You can't help but smile as an ISU fan.
