These are the only 3 "Maid Rite" style places Iowa that are worth a ****. Everything else is trash and are sloppy joe joints, especially the corporate franchised Maid Rite garbage shops.

I don't blame rural Iowa for their obsession with the god awful sloppy joe. I would assume in many of these communities something like an enema is very frowned upon religiously and sexually. The sloppy joe can fill that void in their time of need.

Nothing like a taco rite from Maid-Rite with a bag of Sterzing's potato chips to look back on and feel nostalgic, however both Maid-Rite and Sterzing's have been on a downhill slide when it comes to quality, for at least the last decade.
That’s essentially a maid-rite although maid-rites with the proper steam cooking are probably slightly better.
They’re good though.
