The Johnsons

I have been really impressed by the play of both Wesley and Cory Johnson so far. Those guys are playing hard nosed ball, and really getting in good position on the boards and setting up a lot of second chances. With both being true freshmen, I think they could be scary good by the time they leave Iowa State. I also think we need to come up with some good nicknames as to differentiate between the two over the next 4 years (wejo, cojo, i dont know, someone come up with something good!). It's nice to be able to watch a team you can really be proud of!

Cory Johnson becomes CJ, it's quick, easy and doesn't sounds like a playground nickname. Then Wes doesn't need a nickname.

Come on, you could make a whole season out of it: Band-Aids, Q-Tips, Reach Toothbrushes, pills, etc. It'd be great....:biggrin9gp:

You can have Wesley Johnson be called "the Wes" for a couple seasons until Wes Eikmeier gets to campus then we will have two dudes named Wes.

How about "The Brothers Johnson"... R&B/Soul group from the 70's. Yea, I know what you're thinking but I still think it's good.

We could always go the big Johnson route...

Both of them look like they are going to provide important things for their team. CJ is a real worker...I've seen him play all 3 games plus the exhibition vs WS and I don't think I have seen him take a play off yet. Wes is going to be able to play inside and out. I am PUMPED about the direction of the program already! It's nice to see some passion on the defensive end and an organized TEAM offense.
