The Mayor Needs a Theme Song

I wish the chorus to this song didn't sound so lame. The verses rock and the lyrics would be perfect for this.
I know some of the lyrics are a bit off-putting, but off the top of my head, I think of 'Small Town' by John 'Cougar' Mellencamp.
You guys are all headed the wrong direction. Think about what made Johnny's theme music--it fit his name, was celebratory, and was ripped off from a famous program. :biggrin:

Now, there's only one piece of music that I can think of that fits all those requirements. So, when Fred comes out, the band plays a snippet of the theme from The Flintstones--replete with a closing "Yabba-dabba-doo!"
Let's face it, it's right on--Fred's the hero--it's appropriate (how does Fred get the car going, but by picking it up and running?), and Fred Flintstone (not to mention the theme) distinctly possesses the joy of life that is the heart of Hilton Magic!
For that matter, Fred and Wilma picking up Barney and Betty, and stopping for a meal at a restaurant distinctly looks like Cyclone fans on their way to Hilton!

If there is any Pep Band members ......get it done, do it. I remember Johnnie and it was known nation wide pick a song that is good for Freddie

I think that this could be adapted to a one minute or so version for the band to play.

I agree, I don't think Fred needs a special entrance song. I think they should just cut the lights, no music, maybe a siren, as Fred rappels down from the scoreboard. Keep it low-key.
