Bubu wasn't fouled. Contact doesn't make something a foul. He initiated the contact into defenders who were straight up.

Huh? He was going straight for the hoop, made the basket, and had a lot of contact with TWO players who were nowhere near being set.

That's a foul over 90% of the time even on the road. If that's not supposed to be a foul most basketball games would eventually end up with a final score of 22-18 or something and you'd need a 20 man roster for all the injuries.

Bubu, McGee, and White should be on the floor for sure to start the second half.

Past that, I'd say maybe Babb deserves floor time (he's at least taking open shots...just not hitting) and that's it.

Way up there
Re: One of the most irritating things

SC is being asked to play a role he is simply not suited for. That's not his fault - but fans do love to place blame in inaccurate places...

This excuse is way off. How does him playing "PG" effect him thinking he has to drive instead of shooting 3's? He did the same thing late last year when DG was running the point. This isn't a new issue so lets drop the PG excuse.

What part of "you don't have to be set" do you fail to comprehend? The defenders had both established legal guarding position, Bubu split them and threw up a shot. The defenders had established legal guarding position and stayed straight up. It's ruled incidental contact and therefore no whistle.

Yup, scotty thinks hes good at driving. Fred needs to just be blunt and bench him when he even attempts to drive to the hoop. Watch him do a pick and roll with his head down, worst play in basketball I've seen outside of the C team in 7th grade.

So I can move into you straight-up, bump you off your spot, and no foul? lol

He has no clue what he's talking about. If those were the rules I could coach a team to the best defensive stats in basketball history and I have no coaching experience.

Just stand straight up and smack everybody around. LOL

If you beat me to the spot, jump straight up, yes you legally can. Is it always called that way? Not even close (McGee got screwed on it earlier in the half). That is exactly how the rule is written however.

I thought that lastfoul on white was crap. defender not set at all. Anywho really disappointed in this team. If I wanted to watch an ISU team score 25 in a half i'd have lobbied to keep McD

Hopefully Babb doesn't stay cold..besides him missing shots that are normally automatic, I think we're hanging in there. White 1 pt shy of a first half double-double doesn't hurt either.

If we have a good first five minutes I like our chances. If we come out uninspired, I don't like our chances.

Royce has played really well
Not a knock on him at all - but he is not a vocal leader - the coach on the floor.
Lot of times it is a team's PG, but doesn't have to be. But who can fill this role for us? I think this is what we lack most.

Your reading comprehension is roughly as good as this basketball team.

To no fault of Scotty... He should not be on the court this year. Without a point guard feeding him the ball, he offers nothing at all.
