Great opportunity the next 3 games. But the games after that on the road vs OU and OSU are equally big. Every game is important now. Need to pile up wins and one or two big ones.

Not anything to write home about. They play Justin Bieber at PG. smh.

They nearly upset Baylor at the beginning of the season. Of course, that may be more telling about Baylor than it is about Texas Tech.

Watching Tech, and putting them through the eye test...it's astonishing ISU won at A&M by more than than at Tech. At least A&M looks like a solid Big 12 team.

I so hope we just easily put both away at Hilton.

I know I'm going to take some heat for this, but I just don't see Chris Allen getting the job done. He's still forcing his game instead of letting it come to him. And I noticed several el toro waves on defense. Tyrus seems to be more relaxed and comfortable in the system.

Don't get me wrong - loved the win (on the road, no less). And we did this without RW or SC needing to have a huge game. You can see improvement with this team in every game. All alone in 4th place after a third of the season is something I never thought possible after Drake, UNI or MVSU. BTW - that's two 24-point road wins so far...

The losses to UNI and Drake are going to doom us in the end I am afraid.

Neither is a bad loss right now, especially UNI. See how it goes, all the conference games are much much more important.

They could, but hopefully it doesn't come to that. We control our own destiny at this point. If it gets to the point where they are looking closely at UNI and Drake, then we've let some games slip away that on paper, we SHOULD win.

We just need to either:

win 10 conference games + 1 in the B12 tourney

-OR-

win 11 conference games

Either of those probably get us in, IMO because the major conferences seem to be down.

Conference games being more important does not mean those are not bad losses. When you are likely to be on the bubble, all losses have huge opportunity costs, especially losing to MVC teams. You have a much, much better chance to reach the tournament with a .500 conference record if you turn two losses to average MVC teams to wins.

Agree, but I feel we will be on the bubble at the end. When you are on the bubble, losses to UNi (at home) and Drake will be used against you

Losses in early November don't carry as much weight as ones in January, February and March.

Good win, TTech is horrible though. I don't see them winning a game all season unless they shoot lights out and squeek a win against OU, OSU or A&M.
And to correct someone above, we are tied for 3rd now :)
